Today I just had a pictorial for F&B World’s Cookbook. My brother and I along with maybe 14 other chefs will be featured along with their Asian inspired recipes. So it was a bit weird to be in front of the camera again, and someone even did my hair and make-up! I’m kind of excited for the book to come out and it was nice to meet all the people who made it possible. Because this is going to be a cookbook, they had a food stylist to do my food, which was weird in a way but it was also nice to just munch around and hope your picture comes out fine, I felt like the client for the first time! π
Kusi the make-up artist did a wonderful job at my make-up. Apparently, he is used to fold-less eyelids like mine, it sort of is like Kris Aquino’s he says but I always thought she had eye folds…he says his make-up makes it look that way. Taray! π
The other staffers were also a wonderful bunch and I had a crazy time trying to pose for my profile shot. The trick to a nice smile is to say “why”…why? usually i say why with a frown but this time, you have to say why with a smile. I hope the pics turn out great, and natural, since I had such an unnatural time trying to pose. Hehe.
Ms. Norma who was always as delightful like in all the shoots brought us these lovely brownies and sugar coated gummy bears! Unfortunately, I lost my pack of gummy’s while doing the shoot, I could’ve sworn I placed it in a safe place…but when I came back it was gone.
And it’s not everyday that you meet a fellow food stylist, and we are both from CIA training I didn’t get to talk to Theo as much though since he was busy most of the time. Benjamin Chan, the food photographer was wonderful too. He showed me some stuff he did for RUSH (not food pics) and that was pretty interesting.
I really can’t wait for that cookbook to come out! I wonder if we’ll get complimentary copies?! π
