It was pretty easy to find our way around Hunter Valley thanks to Ana’s GPS. And to find our Hotel Peppers tucked away in the middle of some dirt roads and forests was even more exciting.

When we entered Peppers, there was just this relaxing feeling about it. It was like being in a country home and everything was really cozy. Our room was cool and you could either open the windows for some very fresh air, or open the airconditioning. The bathroom was clean and had everything you needed including the spa-like products they have like soap and shower gels, beautifully packaged in these brown bottles. When you look out the window, you will see nothing but trees, the small lake next door and some wallabies hopping around. It was truly a lovely place to stay.

After having a great night’s sleep, you wake up to a wonderful breakfast buffet where you can even order your eggs cooked fresh. The selection is pretty nice and the food was of really good quality. We tried the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and it was just delicious. The perfect indulgence for a great morning.

The staff was helpful and they always told us the available services and good choices for our meals. On the last day, Ana and I were able to use the jacuzzi and sauna room at their spa. It was really a good getaway!
