I love Wilson Street…I’ve been living in this area all my life and I’ve watched this place change. I love walking from store to store despite the traffic and the hill-y road. Today I walked to Cha Time and decided to work up a drink appetite. This place is way bigger than Serenitea but it has a lot less people since I guess it’s still new. There must be a battle of the the teas in my general area since right now we have Bubble Tea, Serenitea, Cha Time and a new one opening in P. Guevarra soon.

Pearl milk tea
It was okay, tea taste is on normal levels. I like the bitterness and richness of flavor of Serenitea better. It’s a good alternative to Serenitea since it’s just a but cheaper, but basically that’s how I feel. It really is different when the tea is freshly brewed (they had a bulk of this flavor made and they just put it in my glass). In Cha time, you pay for each topping you want…so it turns out just a little cheaper depending on your choice of toppings.

Taro Milk Tea with 50% sugar

It tasted interesting…it’s what I would imagine pumpkin juice to be in Filipino terms (sorry I still have Hp fever). It is somewhat thick and a little grainy like a taro, with a sweet and mild earthy flavor of taro. Interesting but I would rather taste something else next time. The fruit yogurt drinks look pretty interesting!
