About

Giannina Gonzalez is a classically trained chef turned food stylist. As far as she can remember, she lived and breathed food because she comes from a family of voracious epicures and lavish party hosts (which is not a bad thing at all). Being in a family of chefs, her daily routine consists of going to the restaurant (Cafe Ysabel), doing paperwork for the school, editing recipes, sampling out different kinds of food, making layouts, going to the satellite stalls and thinking of other food to serve.

She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts in De La Salle University Taft, where she decided to make her thesis into a food experience. After that she finished her Professional Culinary training at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies and flew off to the US to train under Delores Custer and Denise Vivaldo. She is currently the Operations Manager and School Administrator of the Center for Asian Culinary Studies Manila. She also manages their gourmet take-out store at SM Hypermart and has a restaurant with her brother, Gino Gonzalez, in Eastwood Mall called Buenisimo by Cafe Ysabel.

Giannina loves traveling the world and sampling out all sorts of food, especially the local fare. She spends a lot of her time looking for good and cheap eats around the city. Aside from food, she loves also loves photography and does it for a hobby.

Despite her different jobs in the restaurant and the school, Giannina really thinks that food styling is her calling. She set-up this blog so that she can practice more of her craft by recording her own food styling projects.
